I have always been interested in Virtual Reality and have owned headsets but have also mainly used and studied them from the standpoint of VR to help educators in a classroom. In March 2020 I started using my Virtual Headset for fitness and it grew from there. I became immersed and fell into the rabbit hole of virtual reality. I spent New Year's Eve laughing with a dozen other people throwing snowballs at each other while watching fireworks. Whiteboard.chat hit the scene right when we were hitting the road home for online learning. Whiteboard.chat was designed as a business tool. However, once the team saw their children home learning remotely, they realized how their product might help both educators and students. So, they pivoted (sorry, I know that's a bad word for some) and got the word out to educators that their product would be free for them, and they would also love to hear of features educators would want added to Whiteboard.chatIt's been a blur for Whiteboard.chat they have continually added features based on the request and suggestions of educators to their product and now have a quick and easy collaborative whiteboard which can be used teacher to student or collaboratively in large groups. They have added a robust feature set that has made them quite appreciated and welcomed into the educational technology landscape. This session will be an overview. There is so much goodness and features hiding in Whiteboard.chat that my goal will be to simply give you an overview of the product and point out the places where you can dive in and discover more about it.
